Social Work Student Walks to Stop Executions
One of our Family Studies and Social Work Department students and recent Bachelor’s of Social Work graduate, Maggie Botts, took an active role in the 7-day “Walk to Stop Executions” from Lucasville Prison to the State House in Columbus advocating against Ohio’s death penalty.

Two Social Work Students Selected to Represent Miami University in the Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit
Two of our Department of Family Studies and Social Work students, Veronica Redbud and Tiffany Holmes, were selected in a competitive application process to represent Miami University in the Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit hosted by Senator Sherrod Brown.

Trans KidsAs a mother, she was concerned. A little uncertain. But trying her best to be supportive. She was a lot like many parents who find themselves raising children who identify as trans or gender non-conforming.
