Johnson Analytics Scholarship

The department of Information Systems and Analytics along with the Center for Analytics and Data Science has been fortunate to have a generous donor, Mark Johnson, establish the Mark Johnson Analytics Scholarship Fund to support study abroad opportunities. Scholarship award amounts vary, and may reach up to $5000.

Scholarship Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a Johnson Analytics Scholarship, students must:

  • Have a major or co-major in Information Systems and Analytics
  • Be studying on a Miami University approved study abroad or study away program

While all students who plan to study away from Miami University and who have a major or co-major of Information Systems and Analytics are eligible to apply for the Johnson Analytics Scholars, priority consideration will be given to students who:

  • Have submitted a FAFSA for the school year during which he/she will study abroad that indicated need
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or higher

Scholarship Details

In addition to academic and financial considerations, students must submit an application indicating how their chosen program will advance their career goals in Analytics and Data Science. Student must have completed and submitted the Johnson Analytics Scholarship application by the appropriate deadline:

Summer 2018: March 30, 2018

Fall 2018: April 20, 2018

Award Disbursement

Students will be notified of the scholarship decision within 3 weeks of the application deadline. Scholarship money will be transferred to the student's Bursar Account 10 days prior to the beginning of the study abroad term.
