Biography
As an instructor at Miami since 2014 John has taught courses in Analytical Research and Reasoning for Marketers and helped to develop new curriculum for that course. Prior to his current role, John led various global marketing and research servicing relationships for Nielsen with top FMCG clients for 30 years - developing and providing new solutions that combined industry leading information and analysis capabilities to Kraft Foods and Procter & Gamble. While in these roles, he developed the principles and practice of strategic partnership relationship management for key clients adopted company-wide. He retired as Managing Director, Global Accounts and Senior Vice President for The Nielsen Company in January, 2017.
John is a graduate of Miami University where he received a B.S. in Marketing in 1981. He participated in Executive Education programs with the Hult International Business School at Ashridge University in England and at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He was also an executive member of the Boston University Systems Research Center (1997-2003) and the Richard T. Farmer School Business Advisory Council (1998-2003).
