Jinyan Chang earned her Ph.D. in economics from Clark University in 2023 and now serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics in the Farmer School of Business, Miami University. Her research delves into how the nineteenth-century canal network fuels economic growth and innovative activities in the US, as well as the impact of early industrialization on labor market inequality in antebellum America. Dr. Chang also enjoys teaching undergraduate economic principles.
