Biography
Dr. Yibo (James) Zhang joined the faculty of the Farmer School of Business in the fall semester of 2018. His teaching interests include accounting information systems, data analytics, managerial accounting, and financial accounting. Dr. Zhang's primary research interest is judgment and decision-making in accounting information systems. Special areas of interest include: graphical vividness, user interactivity, social media, dashboard presentations in auditing, and cloud computing. Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. from Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy at the University of South Florida, and he is a CPA (Texas), CMA, and SAP Certified Associate. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Information Systems. He has won awards for his teaching and research from the American Accounting Association and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Outside of work, Dr. Zhang is a multi-instrumentalist and a pickleball player. He plays the oboe, English horn, Irish whistle, piano, and electric bass and serves as the faculty advisor for the pickleball club at Miami University.
