Healthy Miami Biometric Screening Updates

University sponsored biometric screenings, for faculty, staff and spouses on Miami health plan, are operating with enhanced COVID-19 safety measures. These health screenings are important for keeping tabs on health and catching any changes in blood values or blood pressure early. Participation in the Healthy Miami Premium Discount Program includes a biometric screening and there are multiple ways to complete it. Please see below for important updates and details for completing a biometric screening before the December 31, 2020 deadline.

Schedule Updates
  • Biometric screenings appointments are currently available in Oxford at the Miami Health Services Center through December 8, 2020. Additional time slots for appointments are available now Monday - Friday. You can register online in your Healthy Miami account for biometric appointments from 6:15 am - 9:15 am Monday - Friday.
  • Please note, biometric screening appointments will not be available after December 8 at the Miami Health Services Center. The center is moving to Harris Hall in preparation for the construction of the new health sciences building. During the construction (12/9/20 - 12/11/20), the clinic will operate for medical visits only at the Oxford Priority Care (5151 Morning Sun Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056) and then in Harris Hall 12/15/20 - 12/18/20).  Please contact the health center (513-529-3000) directly for more information.
  • All university sponsored biometric screenings are operating with enhanced COVID-19 safety measures
Multiple Ways to Complete This Step
  • University-Sponsored Option: complete your biometric screening as described above through December 8, 2020. Please note, you must have a primary care physician for your blood work results to be sent to.
  • Alternate Option: request a fasting blood draw order from your physician and then have your blood drawn at a facility of your choice on or before December 31, 2020. Once you have your results, submit them to receive your point using the Alternate Biometric Screening Form

Notes

  • Individuals that cannot complete a biometric screening due to a medical reason may have their physician submit a Medical Exemption.
  • If using the Alternate Option,
    • Blood draw results from 11/16/19 - 12/31/20 are accepted for the 2020 program
    • Obtain a lab order from your doctor and use your Anthem Engage App to identify a blood draw or lab facility near you
    • Biometric screenings performed at McCullough-Hyde TriHealth Memorial Hospital will require a doctor’s order and are covered at 100%.
    • Once you have your results, submit them to receive your point using the Alternate Biometric Screening Form.
