Dining Accommodations

Miami Dining is committed to providing our patrons with an exceptional on-campus dining experience that takes into consideration student dietary needs, lifestyle choices, cultural backgrounds, and religious affiliations. We offer dining assistance to Miami University students, summer program participants, and visitors/guests. Our goal is to provide the same level of assistance for campus visitors and summer program participants as we do for our full-time students.

We offer a variety of options for students and guests in each dining location. Our menus are designed to include those who avoid gluten and nuts, as well as those who follow a vegan and vegetarian diet. It is important to note that all dining commons areas are nut-friendly, ensuring that you can enjoy your favorite offerings without any concerns. Below is what we provide every day on campus.

Allergen Identifications

In each dining location, we identify allergens on our menu boards, and online menus. The top nine allergens are labeled. We also have dietary preference icons that call out vegan, vegetarian, avoiding gluten, good source of protein, and climate friendly.

Vegan Aramark Vegan Icon

We serve vegan entrées during each meal periods. Our vegan icon indicates the menu item contains no animal-based ingredients or by-products (no eggs, dairy, or honey)

VegetarianAramark Vegan Icon

Vegetarian entrées and sides are available daily in all of our dining commons. Our vegetarian icon indicates the menu item contains no meat, poultry, fish, or seafood but may contain eggs or dairy.

Dairy Allergy or Intolerance

We offer soy milk at each location as an alternative to cow's milk. We also offer other varieties of dairy-free milk and products at our retail markets. Vegan cheese is also available in many of our locations.

Avoiding Gluten avoiding gluten

Items that are prepared without gluten containing ingredients are identified with an AG icon on our menu boards and online menus. We offer prepared-without-gluten pastries, bread, hamburger buns, pizza crust, pasta, tortillas, muffins, and desserts. We have three designated allergen-friendly stations on campus, named Delicious Without. These stations are located in Armstrong Student Center, Maplestreet Dining Commons, and Western Dining Commons.

Peanut and Tree Nuts

Miami is "nut-friendly" in our all-you-care-to-eat dining commons which means we do not actively use nuts in our recipes, nor do we use products that may contain nuts. However, we do carry products that contain a "produced in the same facility as [nuts]" and/or "processed on shared equipment with [nuts]" statement. We do carry sealed nut products in our convenience markets and our "nut-friendly" initiatives do not apply to retail locations such as Panera and Starbucks, but many of our menus do not actively use nuts. Please refer to the specific location and online menus for more information.

Good Source of Protein Aramark Smart Choice Icon

With high protein becoming a leading dietary preference, our PR icon indicates food items that contain at least seven grams of protein per serving to assist in creating a well balanced diet.

Beefbeef icon

Items prepared with or containing beef are identified with a B icon.

Pork Aramark Smart Choice Icon

Items prepared with or containing pork are identified with a P icon.

Poultry poultry icon

Items prepared with or containing turkey, chicken, or duck are identified with a PO icon.

Climate Friendly Aramark Smart Choice Icon

Carbon neutrality is on the rise and for those that are carbon mindful, be on the lookout for our Climate Friendly icon. This icon indicates recipes with low greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) that have agricultural and ingredient processing impacts that are lower than 70% of all products assessed by HowGood.
