The Ohio GI Promise strives to make Ohio the most veteran-friendly state in America for higher education by encouraging veterans to bring their families, leadership, motivation and maturity to its colleges and universities. Qualified veterans and their dependents can take advantage of the program from anywhere in the country to skip the 12-month residency requirement and attend Ohio’s public colleges and universities at in-state tuition rates.

Think you may qualify? Fill out the C-4 GI Promise Classification on the One Stop’s Residency Forms page to apply. You will also be required to submit additional information to the One Stop as outlined on its Residency Application Instructions page.

Be advised that the residency reclassification application, and all supporting documentation, must be received at least three (3) full weeks before the first day of classes of the academic semester for which you are applying.
