Biography

Hello! My name is Dr. Becky Mathers. I have been teaching at the college level for 15 years and have taught a variety of classes across the breadth of environmental sciences. I hold a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University in Earth Sciences, a Master of Science in Ecological Teaching & Learning from Lesley University, and a doctorate in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England. My dissertation research focused on the lasting effects of a profound experience with nature – an experience that changes an individual’s view of or relationship with the natural world. The natural world is my passion and I love spending time outside exploring and learning. I also enjoy playing disc golf, reading, working out, yoga, and spending time with my loved ones.
