"Love and Honor" Art Exhibit

The Armstrong Student Center Board is seeking submissions for two dimensional art to hang in the East Wing Meeting Rooms (photos, paintings, textiles, etc.).

While "Love and Honor" may mean Miami University to you, we hope that it also inspires other submissions related to the theme. Armstrong Student Center is a hub of campus community.  We are student centered and value inclusion, partnerships and learning.  We hope these values will also be woven through this exhibit.

  • $100 awarded to the artist for each selected piece
  • pieces will hang in the Armstrong meeting rooms for the 2023-2024 school year
  • contact information for purchase may be included in artist statement to hang with the piece
  • works must not protrude more than 4 inches off of the wall
  • space is limited to 4 feet wide and/or tall
  • pieces must be framed in a fashion that allows for easy mounting
  • financial assistance for mounting, framing and matting will be available for selected pieces
  • pieces will be selected by a jury of faculty, staff and students
  • submissions are due February 10, 2023
Selected pieces must be dropped off, ready to hang, at Armstrong Student Center by May 5th and will be available for pickup the first day of fall semester, 2024.

An opening event will be held in September for all of the selected pieces to be celebrated and we hope that all artists will attend this event (date and time to be determined based on space availability).
