Research over 250 attending employers from top international and local companies on Handshake or The Fairs App before attending to streamline your experience. Be sure to leave time to visit interesting employers who may not be directly related to your major. You never know what opportunities are available! We encourage attendance from all majors and career clusters.

STEM Career Fair

This new STEM-specific component will directly connect students in the science, technology, engineering & mathematics space with employers hiring in those fields. We encourage attendance from related majors and the career clusters of Economics & Data Analytics, Engineering & Technology, Health & Science and Students Exploring.

Interview Details

While at Fall Career & Internship Fair on September 11, employers may select students to interview on September 12. While at STEM Fair on September 12, employers may select students to interview later that afternoon. All Next Day Interviews will be conducted at Millett Hall. Be sure that your Handshake profile is updated and contains a current resume. You will check in upon arrival and be seated to await your interview time slot. 

The Basic Interviewing Skills workshop is NOT required for any interviews related to a career fair or expo.

First-Year Friendly Program

The Center for Career Exploration & Success invites all first-year students or students who have not yet been to the Fall Career Fair to participate in a "behind the scenes" tour. There will be a special table for you to check-in and a Career Center staff member will take you on a tour:

  • Every half-hour between 1:00–4:00 pm on September 11
  • Every half hour between 11:00 am–1:00 pm on September 12

Professional attire is not required to participate in the tour but is required if you plan to interact with any employers.

Network with talented and diverse students who are focused on the importance of inclusion and equity as key elements of a successful career path. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sunday, September 15 from 6:30–9:30 pm at JCPenney in Colerain Township, Ohio

Through a partnership with the JCPenney store in Colerain, students and one-year-out alumni can purchase professional clothing items with exclusive discounts. During the event, the store will be open only to Miami students. Shuttles from the Oxford campus will be provided. 

  • Bus leaves Shriver Center bus stop: 5:45pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm and 7:45pm
  • Bus leaves JCPenney to Shriver Center bus stop: 6:20pm, 7:00pm, 8:30pm and 9:45pm

Other activities available at the Suit Up event include:

  • A chance for a free mini-makeover from Sephora inside JCPenney.
  • A free salon consultation and express bar hair touch up at the JCPenney Salon.
  • A business headshot by the JCPenney Portrait Studio with packages starting at $29.99.

This event is free to attend. Students are financially responsible for all purchases made. Rules and exceptions apply in alignment with JCPenney policy.
