Today’s organizations thrive and succeed when they most effectively utilize their human capital. The talents, skills, and creativity of organization members are maximized when employees are effectively recruited, motivated, led, exposed to life-long learning resources and compensated. The Human Capital Management and Leadership major is devoted to giving FSB graduates the tools and capabilities needed in todays for profit and not for profit organizations to effectively lead the organization’s efforts to maximize the investment in human capital.

Graduates in Human Capital Management and Leadership go into a range of careers including consulting, human resource management, talent acquisition, and sales. To prepare students for these careers, the major offers courses in negotiation, compensation and benefits, personnel law, leadership, motivation, change management, cross-cultural management, human capital metrics and strategy. Senior Management and Leadership majors are required to take a client-based course in which they complete a consulting project for an external client.
