Travel Background

I have studied abroad in Ghana for a semester, Europe for a faculty-led program, and Australia to complete an internship in graduate school. I love locations that mix the old and new in interesting ways, so some of my favorite cities are Munich, Germany, Havana, Cuba, and Beijing, China.

Travel Tip

Be open to new experiences! Some of the best experiences will happen when you aren’t planning them, so say yes to unique (but safe!) opportunities. Try to experience life as locals would, not only the tourist attractions - you’ll get to know the culture much better, and likely meet interesting people along the way.
