Miami's Chabad to build menorah out of cans to help stock Oxford Food Pantry
A menorah can be made out of just about anything, including food cans. Miami students will build a “CANorah” beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Phi Delt Gates to celebrate Hanukkah, now through Dec. 10.

In Memoriam: Robert C. Atchley, Miami faculty and leader in social gerontology
Robert Atchley, professor emeritus of sociology and anthropology and former director of Miami University's Scripps Gerontology Center, died Nov. 13 at age 79.

Auto-upload of cellphone numbers enhances reach of Emergency Notification System
Results of Miami University’s emergency notification system (ENS) test from Friday, Sept. 21, improve upon last year’s positive results. Eighty percent of responders to a follow-up survey said they received at least one alert within five minutes. Last year, 69 percent reported receiving a message that early.
