Celebrating Miami: Tribe and University Week 2022

Dear Miamians,
The season’s beautiful colors and crisp air that we all enjoy lead me to reflect on how transformation enriches our lives with new experiences. It’s been 50 years since Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Chief Forest Olds and Miami University President Phillip Shriver created a partnership that set Miami University on an elevated trajectory. We have been celebrating the half-century of this powerful and ever-deepening partnership between the Miami Tribe and Miami University all year. The culmination of this commemoration is approaching with "Celebrating Miami: Tribe and University Week," November 6-13.
This will be an extraordinary week on campus. I invite you to attend as many events as you can, especially “The Two Miamis: 50th Anniversary Celebration” at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, in Millett Hall. This interactive experience is open to the campus community and the public. The celebration will highlight our unique relationship, its significance, and how we have been partners in learning across the years. I hope to see you there!
Love and Honor,
Gregory P. Crawford
