International Students from China
Involvement
Students have also found community in Oxford, Ohio. The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSAA) is one of several hundred organizations at Miami. Their goal is to uphold the principle of disseminating Chinese culture, language, customs, and festivals in order to create a diversified environment for the entire student body. They are also dedicated to presenting traditional Chinese events such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year through annual performances. Their mission is designated to help all the students with Chinese backgrounds to better adapt to life at Miami, providing for them a better collegiate experience as a part of the Miami community. Contact the CSSA Adviser, Mindy Yiu, for more information at mindy.yiu@MiamiOH.edu.
Life at Miami
Students at Miami University are fantastic! I always feel that it is an environment of mutual learning when I teach classes here as I can also learn a lot from students. They always come up with brilliant ideas and thoughts during the seminar or discussion sessions in class. Also they often ask great, challenging but insightful questions during the lecture. I do love this environment and respect it as a treasure to Miami.
