Use this application if you’ve attended another college or university during the last 12 months and want to attend Miami as a non-degree student.

Unclassified

This application should be used if you have a degree from another college or university and do not want to get an additional degree.

Non-Degree Application Deadlines

Non-Degree Application Checklist

Applying as a non-degree student requires a few, simple steps:

$50 Non-Refundable Application Fee

Miami University will waive the application fee for U.S. veterans and military personnel.

Official College Transcript from Current Institution or Last Institution Attended

For students in their first term of college, please submit a mid-term report (PDF 110 KB) showing your current grades. The mid-term report can be emailed to nondegree@MiamiOH.eduuploaded to your application, or sent directly from the current institution.

Official transcripts for completed courses must be sent to us directly from the college/university.

If you have already received your degree, you may bring in your official diploma to the Office of International and Transfer Admission to make a copy. The campus location for where non-degree applicants can bring a copy of their diploma is Room 137 Nellie Craig Walker Hall.

International Students

In addition to the items listed above, international students who are already enrolled at another U.S. university should submit a copy of their current visa or I-20.

International students who are not in the U.S. and who require visa documentation from Miami should submit acceptable proof of English proficiency, the International Student Financial Support Form, and supporting financial documentation in addition to the items listed above.

Admission Requirements

Miami can only grant admission to a student who has a minimum 2.0 GPA and is in good standing in all respects at all schools previously attended. Only students who have a high school diploma or equivalent are eligible for non-degree admission.
