Accelerated Portuguese Courses
Portuguese 111 and 211 are intensive language courses that allow students to complete the equivalent of first-year Portuguese in one semester and second-year Portuguese in one semester. These two courses enable students to meet the CAS-A language requirement in two semesters.
The classes use songs to aid the learning process. No musical skill nor background is required. POR 111 has no prerequisite, although background at the high school level in a Romance language (e.g. French, Spanish, Italian, and Latin) or the equivalent of a college 101 course in one of those languages is helpful.
POR 111. Accelerated Introduction to Portuguese via Songs. (4)

POR 211. Accelerated Intermediate Portuguese. (4)
