EHS's advisory council plays an important part in alumni relations and setting our program directions. The advisory council typically meets twice per year in the Fall and Spring to learn about current activities within EHS and to provide valuable input into new and existing programs.

Get Involved
Miami has an enormous network of alumni with more than 34,000 being EHS alums. This network is mutually beneficial: it keeps you connected to Miami and fellow alumni, and keeps our College abreast of current developments in the field. As alumni, you provide valuable insight regarding industry trends and recruitment strategies and offer helpful internship and job search advice to students.
Have you considered volunteering? Alumni volunteers have an opportunity to meet talented students and potential future hires, and visiting campus creates a branding opportunity for your employer.
We want you to be one of these involved alumni! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, so that you can choose how to best partner with us while accommodating your busy schedule. Here are some opportunities:
- Visit a classroom. As a professional in the field, you can complement a professor’s presentation with comments about real-world practices and applications.
- Visit an EHS student organization meeting as a speaker.
- Participate as a panelist on events offered in conjunction with the Center for Career Exploration and Success.
- Nominate your fellow alumni for University Recognition through the various Alumni Awards.
- Hire a Miami grad. Help connect your employer to the Center for Career Exploration and Success for internship and job opportunities with your company.
- Become a mentor. Register with Miami Alumni Connect.
