Preparing for Your Appointment

You should come to your appointment with some ideas about what you'd like to work on for 45 minutes. You can bring a print or digital copy of your paper. You can also bring your own computer or use one of the writing center's laptops.

We ask that you also bring the following when applicable:

  • The assignment sheet and course syllabus
  • Any writing you’ve already done, including notes, outlines, or early drafts
  • Relevant books, articles, or other resources you’re using
  • Any feedback you’ve already received

No-Show Policy

If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible. You can cancel by returning to our scheduling system (see our cancelling instructions) or calling 513-529-6100.

If you do not cancel your appointment and do not show up for your appointment, your appointment will be marked as a "no-show." After 2 no-shows, you will lose access to your online account and must schedule by calling 513-529-6100 or emailing ellwc@MiamiOH.edu.
