Biography

Jim Kehr has been a faculty member in the Department of Finance since 1974. He was promoted to his current position of Associate Professor in 1981. His fields of specialty include corporate finance, commercial banking, and financial institutions and he has published in such journals as the Journal of Corporate Ownership and Control, American Economics Review, Housing Finance Review, Review of Business and Economic Research.

Prior to coming to Miami University, Dr. Kehr was Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at Xavier University and an Assistant Professor of Economics at Ashland College.

Dr. Kehr graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He earned a Master’s degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics, with a minor concentration in Business Finance, from The Ohio State University. He serves as both a journal referee and a book publisher referee.
