Renew Your FAFSA

To be eligible for certain federal funds, grants, and need-based scholarships, you are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year you are at Miami University. If you are a returning student, you have the option to renew your FAFSA.

It’s simple to renew your FAFSA. Just follow the below steps:

  1. Log into FAFSA.gov with your FSA ID username and password.
  2. Select “Renew my FAFSA Form.” Your FAFSA application from the previous academic year will auto fill the form.
  3. Update any pre-filled information that has changed, if applicable.
  4. Provide any requested financial information.
  5. Sign and submit the FAFSA renewal.

Be advised that the ability to renew your FAFSA form on FAFSA.gov is for your convenience. You can also choose to start a new FAFSA form. For tips on how to complete the FAFSA, visit our FAFSA Tips page.

If you forgot your FSA ID username or password, visit FAFSA.gov’s What if I forgot my FSA ID username and password? page for your next steps.
