Miami University's technology entrepreneurship degree equips you with both expertise in the latest technological innovations and marketable skills required by top employers. You'll start by mastering graduate-level fundamentals in the program’s core coursework, but that’s just the beginning.
Most people entering the startup workforce have a background in either entrepreneurship or emerging technology. Through the MEET program, you gain expertise in both business processes and technological innovation. During your online coursework, you grow a broad and deep understanding of the major issues and concerns driving industry growth, academic scholarship, and public discourse in the entrepreneurship and start-up landscape.
We designed this technology entrepreneurship degree to be as hands-on as possible. Employ data and ethnographic research to define problems, brainstorm, rapidly prototype, and test solutions. Learn from thought leaders as you dive deeper into applied problem solving during your on-ground boot camp in Silicon Valley. Gain effective and professional decision-making through mentoring and connections with industry experts. And finally, put all you've learned to use in your graduate research project.
Entrepreneurial thinking and technology expertise are skills needed in any job — from traditional brick and mortar to online businesses, and from multi-national corporations to small businesses. By focusing our program on emerging technology, you are uniquely prepared to excel in new and growing industries all over the world. Potential career paths are as varied as a startup founder, digital marketer, growth hacker, social media marketer, UX designer, UX researcher, product manager, or project manager. All of these are areas with growing job demand.
Whether I was working on a collaborative project with my coworkers at my internship, or on my capstone project with my class, I was almost always in an environment where collaboration was essential. I would not be the person I am today without the program’s unique opportunities and the team of professors dedicated to helping me grow.

I met notable alumni and networked with some of the Bay Area’s top talent. I was able to help lead my startup to an acquisition by GoodRx. I wouldn't have had the opportunity to put myself in this position if it weren't for the help of Miami's resources and staff. I can now see why Miami Alumni are so generous with helping current students. The program that gave me so much deserves high quality mentorship for its current students.

I was able to work with a highly connected mentor in San Francisco who challenged me to do my best work. I gained a whole new perspective by seeing Silicon Valley first hand and being a part of that culture. I explored amazing places, made new friends, and learned more than I ever could have in the classroom, both personally and professionally. I am so grateful for the impact it immediately made on me.

If I could go back out to San Francisco and do it all over again, I absolutely would. I didn’t understood going in just how valuable the experience would be to my professional career.
