MEET Program Curriculum
Earn your Master's in Entrepreneurship + Emerging Technology in as little as 10 months. Complete 18 credit hours of graduate fundamentals in the area, and build on your foundation from there.
Core Courses (18 credits)
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate sophisticated recognition of different types of venture investment risk and detailed knowledge of due diligence frameworks and checklists, risk assessment strategies and approaches, primary and secondary research, and financial analyses.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of venture capital model, firm thesis, management structure and fees, fund logic, and stages of venture funding.

Community Courses (3 credits)
Students enrolled at the graduate level create an interactive map of a single startup employing. The map is a web app and employs all of the tools in modern programming to enhance user experience.

IMS 591 – Tech Startup Bootcamp
Create a full startup pitch and supporting materials to be presented to an audience of venture capitalists.
IMS 592 – Startup Development Bootcamp
Build a functioning mobile or wearable application.
IMS 593 – Startup Design Bootcamp
Create a white paper that reviews test results from application and recommendations for improvements suitable for professional use.
Connection Courses (9 credits)
Gain mentorship and access to thought leadership as the internship (or externship at your current place of work) provides opportunities to learn the principles that govern the activities encountered in the workplace.

- Prepare and deliver a pitch that could raise money.
- Build a functioning prototype of a solution.

Learning Outcomes
- Develop a feasible model for an emerging media startup grounded in UX research and supported with a digital marketing plan.
- Create a digital prototype of an emerging media product or platform and validate the prototype.
- Apply a depth of practical methods in the management of an emerging media organization. Specifically, a depth in building a tech startup, programming, design, or tournament organization.
- Implement emerging media best practices in a practical experience with an organization that leverages emerging technology to meet actual business needs.
