What are the steps to re-enroll?
First, complete the re-enrollment application form. It may take up to a week to process your request. For more information on how to complete this form, visit the One Stop’s re-enrollment page.
The university will notify you by email when your re-enrollment is complete, and then you can access your student records and Miami University services.
You may have registration holds, and One Stop will give you information on how to resolve them.

What are the requirements to re-enroll?

Who can I contact for help with re-enrollment at Miami University?
Once you have filled out the re-enrollment application form, schedule a meeting with an advisor or graduate school program director who can offer personalized support.
How do I find my divisional advising office?
How do I change my major?
To change your major, go to the divisional advising or Regionals advising offices offering that program. Your program information is transferred to your academic record. Some majors have special admission requirements. Please consult with the divisional advisor for more information.
Can I switch between taking classes at the Oxford campus, the Regionals campuses (Hamilton and Middletown), and online?
Important! The deadline to submit the Change of Campus form is seven days before the first day of the semester or term.

Please note: Undergraduate online classes are predominantly offered by the Regionals campuses.
Can I take classes or pursue my entire degree online?
Yes! Regionals offers several undergraduate degrees 100% online, and our Oxford campus offers several graduate degrees 100% online. Students in most programs may be able to take some of their courses online, even if their degree is not offered completely online. For more information about your online education options, visit Miami Online or reach out to your advisor.
Can I re-enroll with a GPA below 2.0 or if I've been placed on academic probation previously?
Fresh Start is designed to help students who have been away from Miami for at least two years return to good academic standing. The Fresh Start policy provides additional details.
If you’re eligible for Fresh Start, your academic advisor will discuss the program with you during your appointment.
What to do if I was suspended or dismissed from the university?
If you have sat out the length of your two-term suspension, you may re-enroll. (Please note: Winter Term does not count.) If you wish to petition the length of your suspension, please contact a divisional advisor for next steps.
If you were academically dismissed or have not sat out your two calendar years away, you may submit an academic petition to return to the university at the start of the next semester or term. Please contact the divisional advisor for next steps.
How do I return from a medical withdrawal?
Will I need to repeat classes after a multi-year absence from Miami University?
If you earned credits more than eight years ago, you may need to work with your divisional advisor to petition to have those credits applied to your current degree program.
