Re-Enrollment Checklist for Returning Students

Submit your re-enrollment application

Provide transcripts from other institutions

If you attended another college or university while away, you must send your official transcripts to Miami University.

Complete financial aid forms

Submit or update your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Miami’s school code for all campuses: 003007.

Reset password

If you cannot log into myMiami, you may need to reset your password. Your default password will be reset to your two-digit birthday, the two-digit month of your birth, and the last four digits of your social security number. 

Clear holds on your account

Contact the One Stop with any questions regarding your re-enrollment application or holds on your account that may prevent registration.

Contact academic advising or a graduate school program director

Schedule a meeting with an advisor or graduate school program director to discuss your academic goals and create a course schedule​.

Re-enable your Miami email account

Visit Your MUnet Password or contact IT-Services at 513-529-7900

Explore Student Disability Services (SDS), if needed

If you have previously worked with the Oxford Student Disability Services (Miller Center) or Regionals Student Disability Services or have a new or updated diagnosis since your time away, please visit your SDS office to become affiliated.

Plan financially

Look into scholarships, grants, payment plans, or employer partnerships, such as Miami Regionals Work+ program, to offset cost.

You may be able to reinstate a scholarship you received previously from Miami University. The site requires you to be logged in with your UniqueID and password (here's how to reset your password). Please note: you must complete the re-enrollment process before you can apply to reinstate a scholarship.

Review residency requirements

Confirm your residency status and submit documentation if needed, especially for in-state tuition eligibility.

Military or veteran benefits

If you’re eligible for military education benefits, ensure you provide the necessary documentation.

Medical withdrawal/removing medical hold

If you have a medical hold on your account, you must have your medical provider complete and submit a Return From Medical Withdrawal form through the Medical Withdrawal Upload form.
