New Information Available On Miami’s Workday Info Website
The Workday Student project continues to move forward, and there is a lot of work currently going on. Unfortunately, not a lot of that work is available yet for the general Miami public. However, if you want to keep up with information about the project and have a better understanding of when you will be able to engage with the project, we have the perfect place for you.
MiamiOH.edu/WorkdayInfo is a great resource for information about the project. Over the past few weeks, the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team for the project has been hard at work updating the site with fresh content.
Updated Timelines
While the Workday Platform implementation had a single launch, the rollout of Workday Student is intentionally designed to align with the student lifecycle, creating multiple introductions of functionality.
Instead of a single go-live date, the implementation will unfold in phases through five key business milestones. This staggered approach ensures that new functionality is introduced at the right time, supporting ongoing academic cycles and the transition from legacy systems to Workday. To better understand how and when specific functionality will impact your work, explore the updated Configuration Timeline on the project’s Workday Timeline page.
On the timeline page, you will also find a new Change Management Timeline that shows when communication, engagement, and training opportunities will become available.
Journey Maps
The OCM team has created a series of Journey Maps that provide tailored details that outline a specific group's path to Workday Student. These maps highlight key milestones such as targeted communications, demo offerings, training opportunities, and relevant system functionality impacts. On the faculty and staff side, maps have been created for:
- Advisors
- Deans and Administrative Support Staff
- Instructors
- Schedulers and Curriculum Managers
For students and family members, maps have been created for:
- Current Students
- Newly Admitted Students (Fall 2027)
- Parents and Guardians
We realize that this does not necessarily represent everyone who will be interacting with the student system, so if you do not see yourself in one of these impacted groups, please reach out to us and let us know!
Updated Faculty and Staff FAQs
To help faculty and staff better understand the Workday Student project, we have updated the list of Frequently Asked Questions found on the Workday for Faculty and Staff page. Check it out to learn everything from how you might use the student system to what types of training will be available. We have also added FAQs specifically for students and parents/guardians on the Workday for Students and Families page.
Additional Resources
As a reminder, the website also includes lots of other important project information.
