Favorite space on campus:

Farmer School of Business

Why Miami?

  1. I loved the opportunities here. I knew I would be able to have a large school experience while also being able to make meaningful connections with professors, peers, etc.
  2. The SLAM program is nationally recognized and offers a great experience for students pursuing sports.
  3. Campus is beautiful no matter the season and no matter the weather.

What advice you would give to your first-year self?

I would tell my first year self to enjoy being in the dorms and to enjoy being able to make connections with new people.

Tell us something about your major:

I love that what you get out of my major depends on what you put it. It is hard to skate by with little effort, but if you put the work in, it is very rewarding.

Student organizations/activities:

  • College Mentors for Kids

Internships/field experience:

I have had two internships. I work with Miami’s Sport Facility Services, I have been able to work with our athletic department doing game-day operations for all of our varsity sports as well as playing a role in the preparation for team events. I also worked with broadcasting through the athletic department, where we televised sporting events on ESPN.

Who has been your favorite professor and why?

My favorite professor has been Dr. Sam Morris. He provides a different point of view in relation to sports and brings real-world experience into the curriculum. He truly cares about his students and provides students with opportunities to gain experience through his classes.
