Historic gifts boost scholarships for aspiring teachers at Miami

Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society has received two of the largest gifts in its history to expand scholarship support for future educators. One donation strengthens the New Horizons II Scholarship, which supports first-generation students with financial need who plan to teach K–12. The donor’s commitment is the largest combined gift ever made to the college.

A second seven-figure gift, the largest single donation in EHS history, enhances six existing scholarships and creates a new one for Miami’s Physician Associate program.

Both donors have chosen to remain anonymous. These contributions align with Miami’s $1 billion For love. For honor. For those who will. campaign and arrive at a time when the need for well-prepared educators and healthcare professionals is more urgent than ever.
