Exploring Study Abroad Opportunities Step-by-Step

  1. Plan to attend Miami Abroad 101. This session is led by the Education Abroad Advisor and Student Ambassadors. The purpose of this session is to provide you with a general understanding of education abroad opportunities, provide resources, and answer basic questions.

    • This session is offered on Zoom every Tuesday and Wednesday when classes are in session at 4:00 PM.
    • NOTE: If students would like more information on programs abroad or away, please call Education Abroad at 513-529-8600 to schedule an appointment with a staff member.
  2. Meet with an Academic Advisor. You should discuss the best time for you to go abroad, as well as what degree requirements you might be able to fulfill abroad.
  3. Next, you should set up an appointment on Navigate with an Education Abroad Advisor or stop by our office in 214 MacMillan Hall on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 for drop-in advising. Meet with Andrew Lamb or Léna Koskinen.

  4. Search for program options on the Education Abroad website. You can narrow down search parameters in your search or speak with our ambassadors to help you refine your search!
