Welcoming a new baby into your life can be overwhelming. Miami offers paid parental leave and parent and family resources to make the transition easier both at home and at work.

Steps to Take Within 30 days if Adding the Baby to Your Insurance
- Update your benefits in Workday to add the baby to continue coverage.
- Submit a photocopy of certified birth certificate as soon as you get it, or hospital verification of birth, or immigration papers that identify parent-child relationship.
- Call the Benefits office at 513-529-3926 with social security number. Never email social security numbers.
- If you are currently enrolled in voluntary life insurance for yourself, you may now elect voluntary coverage for your child.

Continue to fill in information and submit as prompted. You will be taken to a page that allows you to edit your Benefits. Once you submit this, you will have done all you need to do.
