Impact on Financial Aid

All financial assistance that students are eligible to receive must be taken into consideration when calculating need-based financial aid. As soon as Miami is notified that a student, a student's spouse, or the dependents of a student will receive a fee waiver, the aid of the waiver recipient will be reviewed. If eligibility for aid changes, the waiver recipient will be notified.

Students that receive a faculty, staff, or family tuition fee waiver and an Ohio College Opportunity Grant, Ohio War Orphans Scholarship or Miami Access Fellows funds will likely have the Ohio funds lowered. The Ohio funds can only be used to pay for the instructional fee and the general fee.
