Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MSN-PMHNP)

Develop advanced clinical expertise in psychiatric and mental health care through a fully online curriculum focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions across the lifespan. Build confidence in psychopharmacology, therapeutic communication, evidence-based psychotherapy modalities, and integrated behavioral health care. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

The Miami DNP provides a pathway for the two newly proposed MSN degree tracks to seamlessly progress into a terminal DNP degree. The post master's DNP is designed to build upon prior learning acquired through an MSN program. The focus of Miami’s DNP program is to prepare advanced practice nurses for roles in organizational/systems leadership, and innovative and evidence-based approaches for increasingly complex leadership roles.
