Several employment opportunities allow students to work and earn tuition assistance simultaneously. Programs include partnerships with Amazon, Work+, and Service+, each offering unique benefits and pathways to reduce education costs.

Amazon Career Choice Partner

With Amazon Career Choice, eligible Amazon employees can earn their Miami degree or upskill with a Microcredential, and Amazon will cover some or all of their tuition, books, and fees.

Work+ (Undergraduate Only)

The Work+ Program pays 100% of your college tuition while you collect an hourly wage. Obtain a well-respected associate or bachelor’s degree — debt-free while working with a partner employer for 24 hours a week.

Service+ AmeriCorps (Undergraduate Only)

More than just a volunteer opportunity, you will serve 11 hours a week from August to May (450 hours) at a nonprofit and government organization host site and receive a total award package of up to $6,718.

TechCred

Your Ohio-based employer may be reimbursed up to $2,000 for you to earn a Microcredential in business technology, information technology, cybersecurity, manufacturing or robotics. Get more info about TechCred to share with your manager below.

Financial Aid

Students enrolled in 6+ credit hours may qualify for financial aid. The process begins by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines your eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid. After applying, you will receive a financial aid offer that may include a combination of grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study opportunities. Graduate Students Funding and Awards

There are several sources of financial assistance that are only for graduate students, many of which are made possible through generous alumni support. Please note that students in Market Driven Tuition programs may not be eligible for these awards.

Miami Online students may be eligible for on-campus, in-person employment, even if they do not come to campus for classes! Learn more about these opportunities below.

Work Study

Miami Online students may be eligible for Federal Work-Study, a need-based financial aid program that allows you to work between classes for up to 20 hours a week on campus. You must indicate on your FAFSA your interest in Work-Study.

Student Employment

Get paid to work between classes for 10 to 20 hours a week on campus. You will develop a sense of belonging and create new relationships with fellow students as well as faculty and staff. If you are an enrolled student, log into log into Workday and search "Find Jobs;" on the side menu, choose “Worker Type,” and select “Student.”

Miami One Stop

The One Stop can help students manage their financial aid, pay bills, and explore all available payment options. Its services and resources simplify the financial aspect of education, making it easier for students to focus on their studies.
