Manuela Mejia

Biography

… is a Project Dragonfly Curricular Support Assistant focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Originally from Medellin, Colombia, she moved to the United States in 2012. Manuela has a bachelor’s in ecology and evolutionary biology and Spanish language and literature from the University of Colorado Boulder. She participated in Dragonfly’s Global Field Program and completed her master’s in biology from Miami University in 2021. The primary focus of her master’s work was on the relationship and connectedness people have with nature and STEM/STEAM fields of study. In her free time, Manuela enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her partner, Daniel, and her dog, Charlie, and discussing science with anybody who wants to chat.
