What Can I Do with a Major in Chemistry?

Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, and properties of substances and the changes they undergo.

Chemistry majors*:

  • develop facility with technical instruments

About half of Miami's Chemistry majors enter graduate or professional school after graduation. These additional degrees are often earned in biochemistry, business or medicine.
