Advisor: Dr. Robin Thomas
Research Interests - Broadly speaking I am interested in examining visual encoding with mathematical model based cognitive neuroscience techniques and methods. Specifically, exploring relations between parameters of decision making models and neural correlates of EEG in the system factorial technology methodology. Also applying machine learning technologies to decode the differences in participant behavior based on salience, type, and difficulty of stimuli/task.

Advisor: Dr. Robin Thomas
Lauren Davidson
Primary Advisor: Dr. Joseph Johnson
Research Interests - One of my research interest includes looking at how cultural differences can affect the decision making process, focusing on the computational model we currently have, and seeking to improve them. I am also interested in looking at new methodology in which we analyze the decision making process, specifically through different path tracking methods.

Niki Hayatbini
Primary Advisor: Dr. Vrinda Kalia
Research Interests - My research interests are neurocognitive functions in individuals with obsessive compulsive, anxiety, and mood disorders, examining the executive functions abnormalities (e.g., cognitive flexibility, response inhibition, working memory) and their effects on one's function and quality of life. I am also interested in psychological and bio-behavioral mechanisms that influence the development, expression, and amelioration of maladaptive behaviors, especially in anxiety and mood disorders.
Abiola Khadija Lawal
Primary Advisor: Dr. Yvette Harris
Research Interests - My research interest includes the impact of incarceration on children with incarcerated mothers especially those within the minority community. I am specifically focused on examining the dichotomy in the parenting styles of mothers before and after incarceration, and their caregivers. Another line of study is examining the cognitive and developmental pattern of children with incarcerated parents as they transit from early childhood to middle childhood.
Josselyn Marroquin
Advisor: Dr. Christopher Wolfe
Research Interest: I am primarily interested in medical decision making using Fuzzy-Trace Theory. Aside from my research I am the graduate manager for the Center for Psychological Inquiry Program in the Psychology Department where we help undergraduate students with their success in psychology.
Brianna Minshall
Primary Advisor: Dr. Jennifer Quinn
Research Interests - I am interested in the developmental and sex-specific impacts of early life stress on later learning, memory, and emotional reactivity.

Annahita Modirrousta
Primary Advisor: Dr. Yvette Harris
Research Interests - My name is Annahita Modirrousta and my lab, the Harris Parent Child Interaction Lab, focuses on parent-child interactions in African-American culture, specifically how parental beliefs about their and their child's mathematics ability affect their child's math performance. My own research is focused on autism and theory of mind in different cultures, and how non-white parents teach perspective-taking to their children.
Sean Monroe
Primary Advisor: Dr. Anna Radke
Research Interests - My research is focused on understanding the neural mechanisms of opioid use using mouse models. Using a combination of chemogenetic, trasngenic, and behavioral techniques, my projects have targeted understudied brain regions thought to be involved in behavioral reposnses to opioids, which may help pave the way to developing novel treatment options for individuals suffering from substance use disorders.

Elizabeth Pettit
Primary Advisor: Dr. Joseph Johnson
Research Interests - My research focuses on computational models of decision making, specifically those that emphasize the decision making process rather than outcome. I use physiological responses to help understand individual differences in the decision making process and to guide the parameters included in mathematical models.

Amanda Reichert
Advisor: Dr. Jennifer Quinn
Research Interests - My research interests include the interaction of early life stress and social buffering in rodent models, specifically concerning fear enhancment and incubation. Additionally, I am working with safety learning the the neural mechanisms involved.

Oscar Sandoval
Advisor: Dr. Matthew McMurray
Nathan Von Drasek
Primary Advisor: Dr. L. James Smart
Research Interests - I research is Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), using body ownership theory and affordance theory for improvements in design through statistical methodologies. I'm familiar with motion capture technologies within a lab setting, using postural sway to determine when a person is motion sick. This is used as a measurement to ensure participants stay embodied during experiments.
