Look at some of the CSE faculty's current research interests and contact them for more information. CSE Departmental Honors is another great way to get involved with research as an undergraduate. You do not need to be in MU honors to graduate with departmental honors. Talk to your advisor for more information about departmental honors. For more information about all of Miami's research opportunities check out Miami's Office of Research for Undergraduates.

If you're a first-year student, check out Miami's First Year Research Experience (FYRE). This program provides students with authentic, hands-on research experiences and prepares students early on for subsequent research opportunities. Also check out the Undergraduate Research Award Program to encourage students to seek out a faculty-mentored experience in developing a research grant proposal. The Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program is another way to conduct research during the summer term.
