About the Scholarship

Miami University is proud to offer Choose Ohio First – Biotechnology, Bioscience, and Assistive Technology (COF-BBA) Scholarships sponsored by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Award amounts vary, with typical awards in the range of $1500 to $6000 or more per year.

The goal of the COF-BBA Scholarship program is to recruit, retain, and graduate talented and diverse students in biotechnology-related fields and connect them with work-based learning opportunities to launch their careers and support the workforce needs of Ohio’s growing bioscience industry.

The scholarships are intended to support Ohio students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in eligible STEM fields of study. See the Eligibility section of this website for a list of qualifying degree programs.
