Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection (GC3) Cross-Registration

The Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection’s Cross-Registration Program allows matriculated, degree-seeking students at a GC3 member institution like Miami University to take courses at another GC3 member institution.

Students interested in cross-registering must be enrolled at least part-time at their home institution and must obtain all appropriate approvals from both the home and host institutions before registering. Students who cross-register pay the tuition at their home institution but are responsible for course-related fees to the host institution. If you are a student who wants to participate in the GC3 Cross-Registration Program, follow the below steps based on your campus:

Miami-Oxford

  1. Talk to your advisor to make sure the course is not offered at Miami for the semester you plan to register.
  2. Request the GC3 cross-registration form from registrar@MiamiOH.edu.
  3. After you read, complete, and sign the form, return it to registrar@MiamiOH.edu.
  4. If approved, the form will be sent directly to the host institution.
  5. Once the form is sent to the host institution, the student should contact the host institution if they have any questions.

Miami-Regionals

  1. Talk to your advisor to make sure the course is not offered at Miami for the semester you plan to register.
  2. Request the GC3 cross-registration form from regrec@MiamiOH.edu.
  3. After you read, complete, and sign the form, return it to regrec@MiamiOH.edu.
  4. If approved, the form will be sent directly to the host institution.
  5. Once the form is sent to the host institution, the student should contact the host institution if they have any questions.

Non-Miami GC3 Institution

  1. Talk to your home institution to complete the GC3 cross-registration form.
  2. If taking a class at the Oxford campus, send the completed form to registrar@MiamiOH.edu or visit the Oxford One Stop. If taking a class at a Regional campus, send the completed form to regrec@MiamiOH.edu or visit the appropriate Regional One Stop.
  3. After the form is received and processed, you will receive your Miami login information.
  4. You will also be registered for the course as long as there is an open seat and you meet all prerequisites.
