Highlights and Opportunities
- Conduct interdisciplinary research and learn the latest remote sensing and GPS techniques at the Geospatial Analysis Center (GAC)
- Collaborate with government agencies and nonprofits in research projects and practicums at the Institute for the Environment and Sustainability (IES)
- Participate in field-based learning at local, national, and international sites
- Utilize Miami's state-of-the-art laboratories and computing facilities in the updated Shideler Hall, which houses the Department of Geography, Department of Geology & Environmental Earth Science, and the IES
- Collaborate with faculty mentors on research projects that result in co-authored journal articles and conference presentations, or propose and conduct your own research
- Join student groups to educate Miami students and Oxford community members about local sustainability issues
