As a Senior Assistant Director of Student Success, I collaborate with various members of the campus community to help students persist and graduate. I am a Student Success Advocate for third- and fourth-year students.
I am currently developing pilot learning communities for Miami’s Bridges Scholars and first-generation students. Additionally, I work with Spring Admits, first-year students who are offered the opportunity to take a gap semester between high school and their Miami collegiate career to pursue meaningful intellectual, civic, or social experiences, such as taking classes at a local community college or regional institution, before arriving in Oxford in late January.
Before joining the Student Success staff, I served as vice president for college access and success programs at the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative. I was the director of multicultural affairs offices at both the University of Dayton and the College of Mount St. Joseph. College access and success are very important to me, and I have worked extensively with underserved students whose exposure to college is very limited.
I am a very proud Miami alumnus with a bachelor of arts in Public Administration. Additionally, I have a master’s degree in Public Administration and a Doctor of Education, both from the University of Cincinnati. I am also a Cincinnati native.
