The Grainger Scholars program was made possible by a million-dollar gift from The Grainger Foundation. Matching gifts from the Farmer Family Foundation and Miami University transformed the $1 million gift into a total of $2,175,000.
The program provides tuition, room and board, and coverage of fees up to a total of $5,000 annually, dedicated academic and career advising, and guaranteed internships through the Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship acclaimed Altman Summer Scholars Internship Program.
Grainger Scholars must be Ohio residents, co-majoring or minoring in entrepreneurship. Scholars will participate in the Passport Program, a Farmer School of Business-created program for first-year students that provides an assigned academic advisor giving them dedicated academic and career advising, as well as further expanding upon skills related to transitioning to college, career development, time management, study skills, and degree planning.
The Grainger Foundation is an independent private foundation based in Lake Forest, Illinois. It provides substantive support to a broad range of organizations including educational, medical, cultural, and human services institutions.
