Overview

We're currently in the process of moving academic and administrative areas into the the web content management system (CMS) using a consistent process that ensure you'll have the support you need to launch your site successfully.

What's the timeline?

In spring 2013, we launched the new homepage, several landing pages, and the School of Creative Arts site. Our next priorities:

  • Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid: spring/summer 2013
  • News & Events: spring/summer 2013
  • The School of Arts and Science: summer/fall 2013
  • The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences: summer/fall 2013
  • The School of Education, Health, and Society: summer/fall 2013
  • Student Affairs: summer/fall 2013

What's the process?

Our team will work with each unit individually to review their current site, map their content to a new, user-centered information architecture, provide all necessary training, build their pages within the content management system, launch their new site, and provide ongoing post-launch support. Who's responsible for what?

Miami's web team will provide project management, migration, and production support. Individual units are responsible for writing and reviewing their content, building out their content within the CMS, and maintaining their pages once their site launches.

What's the technology?

Miami uses Hannon Hill's Cascade Server, an enterprise-class web content management system that we've customized to meet the University's specific needs. Read a dozen reasons you'll love the new CMS
