What is Red Brick Rewards?

Red Brick Rewards is a rewards program tailored exclusively for student organizations. It aims to empower your group with a range of benefits, helping you achieve your goals, expand your impact, and thrive on campus.

How Does It Work?

Your journey to rewards is fueled by your accomplishments. Each semester, student organizations have distinct requirements to achieve various reward tiers. As you complete these requirements, you're eligible to access a variety of benefits and perks. We're committed to keeping things fresh – new rewards will be continually introduced across different tiers.

Getting Started:

To participate, log in to The Hub with your entity account, set your organization name as your display name (e.g., first name: SEAL, last name: Ambassadors), and email studentactivities@miamioh.edu to initiate your path setup. Once this is done, you can submit your completed requirements conveniently through the paths feature located at the bottom right of the Hub's home screen.

Unlock Your Potential:

Red Brick Rewards is your passport to success. Let's embark on this journey together, where your organization's achievements are recognized, celebrated, and elevated. Seize the opportunity to make your mark on campus – one reward at a time.

Ready to get started? Join us on the path to excellence with Red Brick Rewards!

Note: For those rewards that state that you may request the reward, you are not guaranteed to receive the reward or to receive it to the fullest amount. A request will be reviewed by the appropriate parties.

Requirements you complete one semester impact what rewards you get the following semester.

Transition “Binder”

Transitions are a critical part of maintaining success from year to year for an organization. Student Activities has some sample materials that can be used to help.

End of Semester Evaluation

Evaluating your semester is an important process to help your organization grow in the future. Each semester you should turn in a complete evaluation with number of programs/events your organization has completed, a summary of the semester, attendance numbers and more. While any evaluation will be considered, two good examples of evaluation tools are the SOAR Analysis and the SWOT Analysis.

Attend 4 SEAL Workshops per semester

SEAL Workshops are presented by a number of different offices on campus and held many times throughout the semester. Topics for SEAL workshops can be on a number of different topics of interest to student organizations.

Leadership training for your organization

You hosted or participated in a leadership training for your organization. It is important for organizations to actively work on the development of the student leaders in their organization.

There are a number of ways to complete this requirement: whether representatives of your organization attended the annual Perlmutter Leadership Conference (20% of organization required), you host a leadership training for members, you schedule a leadership training for your organization with an office or department hosting, or other similar events. The Wilks Leadership Institute has worked on several programs that will help you fulfill this requirement.

Collaborate with another organization

Whether through a service project, collaborative event, joint meeting, or other method your organization should work collaboratively with another organization to help both groups grow and think outside their individual bubbles.

Exemplify the Code of Love and Honor

The Code of Love and Honor symbolizes the values of Miami University. How does your organization display those values? Each year your organization should evaluate how you do so and turn in a written statement on the ways you exemplify the Code of Love & Honor. To learn about the Code of Love and Honor visit I am Miami.

Track Attendance on Hub Events

There are many benefits to tracking attendance via Event Pass or through other means in the Hub. For meetings you can quickly and easily know which members are showing up. For events you will know precisely how many people are showing up to events and can use that tracking for assessments and to help with ASG Funding.

Submit Hub form in Paths for Tier 1,2, & 3

To show you have completed the requirements, you must submit the requirements in Paths on The Hub while logged into your student organization entity account. You must submit not only the highest tier you want to reach but each lower tier as well.

5% Less ASG Funding Cutbacks

Reserved Table at Mega Fair

Organizations arrive early to choose a table at Mega Fair as well as to set-up. Tier 4 organizations will have a selected reserved table at the front of their sections for Fall Mega Fair.

FAQ

Am I required to complete Red Brick Rewards?

If you are a registered student organization (not an affiliated organization, club sport, fraternity or sorority, etc.), then yes, you must complete a Red Brick Rewards submission each semester. If you are an affiliated organization that wishes to apply for ASG Funding, you also must complete Red Brick Rewards.

Am I required to attend training?

Yes, as there are many important topics covered about ASG Funding, event planning and many other topics including changes to policies.

What is an entity account?

An entity account is an official miamioh.edu email address for your organization, such as sealambassadors@miamioh.edu. All student organizations can Entity Account from IT Services. ou will then log into the Hub with your entity account, set your name as your organization name (example: first name SEAL last name Ambassadors) and e-mail studentactivities@miamioh.edu to be set-up for the paths.

What if we do not need to apply for ASG Funding?

Yes, you still need to if you want to receive other rewards such as registration for Mega Fair (Tier 1) or Late Night Miami Funding (Tier 2), etc.

How can I check our status in Red Brick Rewards?

Once you are set up with paths anyone with your organizations username and password can see the status of your Red Brick Rewards submissions. You simple go to the paths and see simple progress bars for where you are. If you need assistance with paths, please contact us at studentactivities@miamioh.edu.

It says I do not have a certain requirement, but we do. Why?

We can only track what we have access to know about. For all other things, we depend on you submitting the form. For example, your constitution may be up-to-date, but as orgs often edit these annually, we cannot know if your most up-to-date is uploaded unless you tell us. Because of this, you need to fill out Paths with all information. The only information we add is President/Treasurer's Training or SEAL Workshops.

My org doesn't get ASG Funding. Do we need to do Buyway training?

If your organization has a financial account on campus, then your treasurer must complete Buyway training. If you have no financial account on campus (Not sure? Check on the Hub by visiting Manage Org, then finance then accounts), you may ask for an exception. If you have an account, you must complete this requirement.

I have something I would like to submit as an alternative for one of the requirements. How do I get that approved?

Please email studentactivities@MiamiOH.edu with the subject "(Name of Organization) RBR Alternative Activity" and describe in detail what you would like to submit.

My organization has actually shut down. What should we do?

Please email studentactivities@MiamiOH.edu with the subject "(Name of Organization) needs to be inactive" and explain in your email that your organization is inactive, as well as your role in the group. Note: We will check to confirm this.

How do requirements work?

All requirements, per student organization request, are semesterly requirements. Organizations asked us to make the process simpler. What you do one semester impacts what your receive the following semester. If you complete all requirements for Tiers 1 and 2 in the Fall, you will receive corresponding rewards in the Spring. However, in the Spring, you need to again complete each requirement to receive rewards the following Fall. You will be required to do things such as submit applications for SEAL Awards each semester, instead of once a year to reach Tier 3.

The only exception is annual registration on The Hub. Hub registration only happens once an academic year, but when submitting, you will state that you did it for each semester.
