CAEP Key Assessments

The Miami University School Psychology Program is accredited through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). CAEP is one of our profession’s mechanisms by which to establish and ensure the high-quality preparation of school psychologists. These systematic evaluation and accountability procedures are also used to improve the program. To help in the process, the School Psychology program collects data about student progress throughout the program and an indication of each student’s outcomes via use of data from these key assessments as placed into the computer program entitled Chalk and Wire (https://ep3.chalkandwire.com/ep2_muohio/). Use of this application is made available to students to use as a portfolio manager even after you finish your education here at Miami University. Your course professors and the school psychology program will provide information about Chalk and Wire if it is used in the courses you are taking. For your reference, the key assessments that are collected and the courses in which they occur are listed below.
