M.S. in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health

The Master of Science in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health includes areas of concentration in Exercise and Health Science and Public Health Education and Health Promotion, including the Combined Masters and Dietetic Internship Program. The program requires 30 credit hours and students have the option of choosing a thesis or non-thesis track.

Exercise and Health Science Concentration

The Exercise and Health Science area of study is designed to provide breadth and depth of knowledge in the physiological and psychological functioning of human beings under a variety of environmental, nutritional, and activity conditions.

Public Health Education and Health Promotion

The Public Health Education and Health Promotion area of concentration is designed to provide breadth and depth of knowledge in the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of health across the human lifespan.

Combined M.S. and Dietetic Internship

The Miami University MS/DI is a 16-month, Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) -accredited program. Dietetic interns earn graduate credit when completing 1000 hours of supervised practice in and around the Oxford community.  Graduates are eligible to sit for the Registration Examination for Dietitians.
