OWP at Miami University

COVID-19 Update
OWP is still here for you! Even if on-campus activities are suspended due to COVID-19 precautions, learning never ends at Miami University and The Ohio Writing Project. The OWP workshops will continue online, and OWP professional development leaders can continue to provide virtual learning for K-12 teachers and faculty. Stay connected to the OWP community by following @owpmu on Twitter or Facebook, and most importantly, take care to you and your families.
The Ohio Writing Project is one of the oldest sites of the National Writing Project. Founded in 1980, Miami’s OWP has offered workshops and inservice to over 100,000 K-12 teachers.
Currently celebrating its 40th year, OWP supports teachers from all over southwest Ohio and celebrates the professionalism, expertise, and talent of our state’s educators.
The National Writing Project, founded at Berkeley in 1973, is devoted to improving the teaching of writing and learning from kindergarten through college. NWP has been named one of the most cost-efficient, effective professional development programs in the history of our country.
