Fall and Spring Application Process

Miami University Office of Admission hires campus tour guides in late October each year. Please visit the Miami Jobs & Careers page in October to apply for a tour guide position.

If your application meets all required criteria, you will be contacted regarding a group interview.

What to Expect During the Group Interview

  • Meet with current tour guide leaders in a somewhat chaotic and loud environment, similar to the environment you might find yourself in during tours.
  • You’ll be asked about yourself and to share your Miami experiences.
  • Make an impression with your campus involvement, public speaking skills, easy-going natures, and love for Miami University.
  • Based on the Group Interview, the best candidates will move on to an individual interview.

What to Expect During the Individual Interview

  • Meet with a member of the Office of Admission professional staff and/or tour guide leadership.
  • Questions asked will include your experiences at Miami University and specific on-campus involvement.

Based on the Individual Interview, the best candidates will be offered tour guide positions and will begin their employment in the Spring Semester.
