Miami and Ohio

Ohio’s workforce is only as strong as its workers — and resiliency begins in the classroom. The Ohio School-Based Center of Excellence (SBCOE) at Miami University has provided K–12 professionals with training and tools to help K–12 students succeed in school, work, and life for more than 25 years. Partnering with schools and communities, the SBCOE translates research into results by improving attendance and reducing risky behaviors. In 2024, 2,650 school professionals participated in training, professional development, and communities of practice. By strengthening classrooms, the SBCOE strengthens communities — building a resilient workforce prepared not only to succeed in jobs, but to thrive in life.
